Platform Team Lead

Job description

Take control of the growth and strategy for the team developing the core of our product’s back-end. We’re working with an API first approach, which means all features and functionality is provided to applications and front-end implementations. We’re working with tens of millions of transactions every day and performance is a key aspect of getting things done right

You’d need to hire a team and drive the team towards achieving technical excellence through mentorship, professional development, and effective communication. 

Most important, encourage a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.


  • Maintain high team efficiency, development speed and high quality of resulting work
  • Running team ceremonies, setting daily work goals, ensuring smooth work flow and reaching the goals agreed with the Product organization
  • Maintain a fully staffed team and for driving recruitment of open roles in the team, if any
  • Lead, supervise and motivate employees, perform regular 1:1s with each member of the team
  • Evaluate and support team development, manage personal development, training plans, career development and promotions
  • Evaluate performance on a regular basis and recommend salary changes and maintain retention plans and succession plans for team members
  • Organize work process, coordinate and control work actions, ensure the work quality and that tasks are performed on time, including initiative delivery schedules being observed
  • Responsible for the team to understand and follow processes and technologies
  • Act as a mid or senior developer within the team, for 50% of the time

Job requirements

  • 3-5 years back-end development experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience with leading a team
  • Strong knowledge about agile development methodologies
  • Excellent Golang and SQL knowledge, unit testing, integration testing, security testing for code
